Why Jal Seva Matters

In Indian summers, temperatures soar above 45°C. Birds and small animals struggle to find water. A small pot of water on a terrace or balcony can save lives. This is not charity — it is empathy in action.

Direct Impact

Every water pot placed saves lives. Birds and animals find relief in extreme heat.

Empathy Training

Children learn that small acts of kindness matter. Caring for nature starts with caring for the smallest creatures.

Verifiable Action

Each pot is geo-tagged. Each refill is documented. The impact is real and traceable.

How Jal Seva Works

Simple, daily, verifiable.

Step 1

Place the Pot

A child places a water pot (matka) on their terrace, balcony, or garden. Location is geo-tagged with a photo.

Step 2

Refill Daily

Each morning, the child refills the pot. A quick photo documents the refill. The habit builds over 15 days.

Step 3

Document Visits

Children observe and note which birds or animals visit the pot. This builds observation skills and connection to nature.

Step 4

Verify & Earn

After 15 days of consistent refills, the cohort mentor verifies the action. The child earns Aasha Coins and Jal Seva Warrior status.

Real Evidence

Every water pot documented. Every refill photographed. Every location verified.
